The house sits in a terrible state of disrepair this being due to the owners not living in the house and no maintenance provided for some time.  The Martin County Historical and Genealogical Society has embarked on this restoration project as of June 2014.  The Society officially came into ownership as of November 7, 2014.  

Fundraising  efforts have been ongoing since the Society came into ownership.   Anyone wishing to donate to the restoration can go to the "Contact Us" section of the website.
